As a Principal of onPoint Oncology, Paul’s broad and diverse background includes past experience contracting with GPO’s, performing and analyzing market research, managing sales teams for emerging oncology drugs, while cultivating a targeted interest in technology.
Prior to joining onPoint Oncology, Mr. Welchans spent two years with US Oncology where he recognized a disconnect between pharmaceutical manufacturers in the tracking of reimbursement issues and the perception of these problems in the US Oncology Network. This experience and insight with the strong development team of the onPoint oncology leadership group provided the foundation for the industry-leading product: focalPoint. Mr. Welchans also spent several years working for Pharmaceutical Manufacturers such as Genentech, Roche, and Sanofi-Aventis oncology departments in various different capacities including: Marketing, Sales, Sales Operations, and Data Informatics.
As a founding partner of onPoint, Mr. Welchans has become an expert in oncology office technology platforms; EMR’s (electronic medical records) and Revenue Cycle Management Systems, contributing to several innovative concepts that improve processes and streamline efficiencies for Oncology Providers and Pharmaceutical Manufacturers.
